Can Haye beat Vitali and Wladimir?

    by JackDempsey2008 (Posted Mon, 17 Nov 2008 23:36:30 +0000)
Personally I think that Haye has a good chance of beating Wladimir, as he seems to be the weaker brother with a suspect chin and negative style.

Vitali though can fight and has a granite chin. I think Haye would really have a difficult time against Vitali and would not be able to bomb him out of there. I think he would get taken into deep waters (if not KO’d early) and stopped. Vitali is just too big and strong for Haye even if Haye is an excellent boxer, Lewis had problems with Vitali’s size and toughness, Haye would have major problems in my opinion.

I think Haye will beat Wladmir though, but I hope David can beat both brothers because he is a world class boxer with fast powerful shots. But sometimes you just can’t overcome what nature has given someone.

Haye vs Klitschko at Stamford Bridge?

    by JackDempsey2008 (Posted Mon, 17 Nov 2008 23:22:26 +0000)

    Quote:
Chelsea would welcome the chance to host a possible world heavyweight title fight between Britain’s David Haye and one of the Klitschko brothers.

The Premier League club has been linked to the possible contest next summer, although no approach has been received.

“Stamford Bridge is one of the premier venues in London for both sporting and non-sporting events,” a club spokesman told BBC Sport.

“It would be an honour to stage a global event such as this.”

He continued: “The ability to host the fight here in the summer of 2009 would be subject to a number of conditions, primarily the protection of the playing surface and approvals with various local agencies and authorities.”

Haye demolished the American Monte Barrett with a fifth round knockout at the O2 Arena in London on Saturday night, to open up the possibility of a world title fight against either Vitali or Vladimir Klitschko.

It was the 28-year-old Londoner’s first fight since 2007 in the heavyweight division, having relinquished his cruiserweight belts earlier this year, and was watched ringside by Vitali himself.

While Haye’s preferred opponent would be the IBF and WBO champion, Vladimir, the Klitschkos may put up the WBC champion, Vitali instead.

The only thing that could prevent that from happening is if Vitali gets his wish of a lucrative rematch against Lennox Lewis, but that would mean coaxing the former undisputed world heavyweight champion out of retirement.

Lewis beat Klitschko in controversial circumstances in his last bout before hanging up his gloves.

Has anyone seen this film that is on that the cinema at the moment? Its got Mark Wahlberg in.

I didntg think much of it to be honest and it bore little or no resemblence to the great blood bath of a computer game from 2001.

It was OK but not great by any stretch

    Hayemakered

    by Paul (Posted Sun, 16 Nov 2008 01:29:02 +0000)
    Hayemakered

David Haye stamped his authority on the heavyweight division with a dramatic fifth round demolition of Monte Barrett at the 02 Arena in London, England.

Barrett comically hit the canvas even before the first bell rang as he attempted to leap over the top rope.

From the outset Haye used his superior speed and boxing ability to confuse Barrett, whose own punches looked lethargic in comparison. Haye landed some big shots in the first round by waiting for openings in Barrett’s defence and swiftly punishing him with thundering jab and backhand combinations.

Barrett hit the canvas a total of five times with a double knock down in round five ending matters in a brutal fashion. Haye will now look for a summer time showdown against either Vitali or Wladimir Klitschko in 2009.
