Well we're supposed to be discussing one of the most eagerly awaited heavyweight clashes in recent years, between the inimitable David Haye and the Russian man-mountain, Wladimir Klitschko.

Unfortunately for all of us concerned, Haye didn't read the script and managed to pick up a back injury during training. Fortunately, Ruslan Chagaev was already preparing for another fight against Nikolay Valuev, which was also cancelled, so has stepped in at late notice, ensuring both men's training camps haven't been a complete waste.

Boxing great Arguello found dead

Boxing legend Alexis Arguello of Nicaragua has been found dead in an apparent suicide.

The three-times world boxing champion was found with a gunshot wound and police are investigating his death.

Arguello, 57, known as "The Explosive Thin Man" retired in 1995 with 82 wins - 65 by knockouts - and eight defeats.

He was the sixth man to win world titles at three different weights and was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1992. Read Full Article
